Contact-based pricing scales steeply
Klaviyo's pricing jumps fast: $30/mo at 1K contacts, $100/mo at 5K, $175/mo at 10K, and $400+/mo at 25K contacts. It's among the most expensive per-contact.
SMS credits cost extra
SMS isn't included in email-only plans. The Email + SMS plan includes credits, but additional SMS costs $0.01-0.015 per message in the US. International rates are higher.
Free tier is very limited
Only 250 contacts and 500 emails/month. Most stores will outgrow this in weeks. There's no free tier above 250 contacts.
Reviews feature costs more
Klaviyo Reviews (product reviews) is a separate add-on at $25/mo. It's not included in any email/SMS plan.
No annual discount
Unlike most SaaS tools, Klaviyo doesn't offer annual billing discounts. You pay the same rate monthly or annually.
